Study: Is the old saying, “don’t go long into the weekend” true?

A quick test shows that if you had gotten stuck at the close on various products on Friday afternoon and got out at the pit open on Monday, then your results will depend on the type of product you trade.

Here is a study of what has occurred over the last few years broken down by year and shown in Net form as well:

Weekend Bias Study 01/01/07 to 5/16/11

Note that the worst gap between the open and the close against the long was more than made up for with the best favorable gap.

Interesting right?
