POLL: A few questions about Excel

POLL: A few questions about Excel

In preparation for Webinar 4 Part 2, I need to determine the level of proficiency of the audience with using a spreadsheet. To that effect, I would appreciate it if you took a moment to complete these 4 poll questions:

Be sure to scroll down after each vote to complete all FOUR polls. Thanks!

Thank you!

You can get as advanced as you need to with Excel. The hard part isn’t using excel, its the issues dealing with the Market. Monkey, psychological issues, etc. What ever you need us to do in excel, we’ll either follow along or figure out.
    BTW – I’m using Excel 2010

    thanks.

I would like to add a comment regarding the question “Would you be interested in a video that walks through the steps you need to know to use a spreadsheet to perform simple market analysis for a fee”

I responded “no” to this question. But the reality is that I have purchased all of the webinars to date and I will also purchase a Simple Market Analysis spreadsheet video if that is offered next. But I am chomping at the bit for a video that offers much more than simple market anaysis. I am looking for insight into the sorts of analysis that FT71 utilizes each day. Specifically, I am looking for insight into the questions asked of the analysis and how the results are used – as opposed to a step by step approach on how to develop an Excel spreadsheet.

I will second the views of Tartan. There are plenty of places where one can learn to use a spread sheet.

Lets focus on skill set which is hard to acquire and quite frankly is not being offered by the market place.

just a note I have both excel 2007 and Appleworks and have used both. Some others may also have used both for trading records.

Agree w/ Tartan. Would rather FT71 devote his limited time to creating webinars that provide info I cannot get elsewhere. No shortage of resources in public domain, Amazon.com, etc on how to create a pivot table in excel.

I agree with Tartan, any Excel questions I’ve had can be answered by Google for the most part. The only question I have is what else you use Excel for other than journal, HW, trading stats and the basic market stats you’ve demonstrated in the past (like the average 30 minute range for the last year example).
