March 13th Chat: Post-Market Rally Impromptu on Risk Control

This chat was an impromptu that took place after FOMC and JPM/BAC news that resulted in a large rally. I observed traders who are clients at my new brokerage take on excessive risk, not pay attention to daily loss limits and trade against the prevailing trend incessantly.

Trading Futures, Options on Futures, and retail off-exchange foreign currency transactions involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors. You should carefully consider whether trading is suitable for you in light of your circumstances, knowledge, and financial resources. You may lose all or more of your initial investment. Opinions, market data, and recommendations are subject to change at any time.

    So FT that was just another great Impromptu maybe one of the best beneath the Webinar 3.I’m live for one year now stick to my one lot plan and never took big lossers,sometimes a bunch of loosers in a row but i feel-the more it happens to me- the more comfortable with this small loosers.And after taking some pause from the markets i say to myself a trader has to trade or he is not a trader anymore,and back in.
    I follow you the whole year first nearly every day(later with some distance getting my own stuff arround),and believe me there were times when i thought would be better never heard anything from you ;-), but i recognized it’s me only me who is responsible.For me trading is more a vehicle for getting more self aware than only running for the money(nice side effect).
    Anyhow,greetings goes out to Anthony,too.
    Short term -> great stuff,man
